Modern Slavery Act
Statement on the Modern Slavery Act
Under the Modern Slavery Act 2015, commercial organisations conducting all or part of their business in the UK are required to publish a transparency statement informing consumers about efforts to eliminate slavery and human trafficking. Our manufacturing partner, ("we" or "us"), are one part of the industry that can educate consumers on how to buy goods made by companies that manage their supply chains responsibly. Our manufacturing partner is committed to ensuring ethical and fair labour practices in its own operations and we look for and expect our suppliers to do the same.
The structure of our organization, business and supply chains
Our production partner is a print-on-demand fulfillment and warehousing company with a team of more than 1,000 employees across six locations in the US, Mexico, Spain and Latvia. In addition, we use a variety of different suppliers in the US, EU and other countries and regions to provide us with the materials for our production.
Strong policies on slavery and human trafficking
When we work with suppliers, we ask them to sign an Anti-Slavery and Forced Labor Certificate confirming that both the supplier and its subcontractors will comply with all applicable laws prohibiting slavery and human trafficking. Our manufacturing partner has also written a Supplier Code of Conduct designed to set out our standards and expectations around key areas of corporate responsibility, including requiring our suppliers not to support forced labor and not to work with organizations that engage in illegal employment practices.
Due diligence processes
Our supply chain manufacturing partner requires all employees involved in the procurement process to comply with our policies prohibiting slavery and human trafficking within our supply chain. Within our own internal operations, part of our initiative to mitigate slavery and human trafficking risks is the implementation of internal policies that include whistleblower, anti-corruption and health and safety policies.
